Ongoing Events:
Tuesday we are closed to visitors as this is our Home Farm Day, thank you!
Thursday is Volunteer/Open Garden Day. Every season presents different tasks which can always use extra hands. Springtime is seed propagation, preparing beds, transplanting and a LOT of weeding. Summer gives way to watering, more weeding and cultivation and reaping the bountiful harvest. In fall we focus on cover cropping and preparing for the annual wreath sale. Call or just come by. Talk to us if you are interested in working with us on a longer term basis with specific Camp Joy projects. 9:00 am till 1:00 pm or by arrangement.
Flower, Fruit and Vegetable CSA Shares
Put Camp Joy on your table all summer long. Community Supported Agriculture is a way to directly support the formers by subscribing to a weekly pick up of produce from early June through October. Please call for more details if you are interested. Space is limited and first come is first served. A couple of openings are available for discounted shares if you can commit to regular harvest help during those months.
Apprenticeship Program
One of the ways Camp Joy fulfills its mission of teaching sustainable agriculture is by hosting farm apprentices each year. These enthusiastic individuals help to make the garden and our programs thrive. They arrive in April and stay on to see the season through the grand finale of the Wreath Sale.
