Spring Plant Sale!!
May 10 and 11, Saturday and Sunday - 9:00 to 3:00
Get your soil prepared and pop over to pick up your plants. Purchase our favorite varieties of tomatoes and peppers and other vegetable, herb and flower seedlings as well as one gallon perennials. Honey, salve, seeds and beautiful Mother’s Day bouquets will be available for sale.
Second Chance Plant Sale

Did you miss it last week? This year the garden will be open a second weekend to get your seedlings and starter plants.
Kids Summer Garden Program – call us!
The summer campers had a great time last year – we’ll do it again if we get enough interest. We are making plans now for a one day a week session in July and August, exact dates to be arranged.
Camp Joy General Membership meeting and CSA Brunch Potluck
June 14, Saturday 11:00 to 1:00 pm
All CSA and other members and interested friends are welcome for this potluck brunch and to help us elect board members for the year (only paid-up members can vote.) Come join the Camp Joy community. Bring your dad and a buddy and enjoy the garden.

Got milk? We will – we’re expecting many new goat kids this year! Learn to make several lovely goat cheeses - come at 8 if you want to help milk the goats and share breakfast.
Advanced Basket Weaving/Melon Basket
September 28, Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 pm
$50 - $10 off if you bring a friend
The twined basket class is a pre-requisite for the Melon Basket class. You will learn how to harvest and process the various materials and leave with a completed basket. For your next basket, you will only need to grab your clippers, collect some weeds and start weaving! Materials (some collected at Camp Joy) will be provided for the class. Taught by local artist Sandy Rintoul.
Camp Joy Harvest Supper

Enjoy the blessings of the garden and a relaxing evening supper surrounded by the bounty of early autumn. Wonderful food!! Live music! We’ll send out a separate invitation.
Wreath Sale Prep
Thursdays from October 16 to Nov. 20 10:00 to 3:00 pm - Camp Joy staff
Come to the farm and help us with the many garden crafts and projects that are featured at the annual Wreath Sale. Learn tips and techniques in exchange for helping Camp Joy with its biggest fund raising event of the year. No charge if you’ll commit to coming at least 2 days.
Fall Fertility Day

Backyard Composting Workshop
(In conjunction with the Santa Cruz Master Composters)
Learn how to compost garden clippings and kitchen scraps using a variety of composting techniques. Workshops are staffed by Certified Master Composters who can answer your compost troubleshooting questions and prepare you for a successful composting experience.
Green Waste Recovery customers residing in the unincorporated area of Santa Cruz County and Scotts Valley are eligible for one free compost bin (limit one per household) after completing a composting workshop. Pre-registration is required. 423-5925

Gourd Masks!

People have grown gourds all over the world for thousands of years for useful, beautiful and magical reasons . We’ll start in the garden at Camp Joy, then proceed to the studio of Kris Mangliers, local gourd artist, to learn about this ancient and creative art form.
31st Annual Wreath Sale!!

Join us for this annual Open House and Harvest Celebration - dried wreaths, garlic, candles, honey, other crafts for sale and yummy treats to sample and buy.
