Gardens

The gardens at Camp Joy have always been the focus and center of our energy. Our educational work and events are the result of our commitment to the beauty and productivity of the gardens. They were created and are maintained with hand tools which are wonderfully quiet, simple, and efficient. We produce a great array of seasonal vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs for ourselves and our community. We keep Saneen milk goats and honey bees and use bio-dynamic preparations on our fields and compost piles. The gardens are designed with flower corridors, arbors and gazebos, creating sections that are interesting and beautiful.

Camp Joy is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization dedicated to sharing information about
small scale, intensive, ecologically sound agriculture and preserving small-farm-based food systems.
